The search page is used to search for text in downloaded journals.

Select User
Select the user from this box that you wish to search.

Keyword
This phrase is the phrase which will be searched for. Wildcards are not accepted.

Case Sensitive
Selecting this option will force the search to be case sensitive, eg, "Journal" is not the same as "journal".

Search In
These options select which items of the downloaded journal you wish to search in, either:

• The Event, ie, the main body of the journal entries
• The Subject of the journal post.

Searching for just the subject is much faster, but will not return as many results

Exclude:
These options represent the types of journal entry you do not wish to be returned with the results:

• Public Entries
• Friends-Only Entries
• Private Entries

Display Results in Viewer
Selecting this option causes the results to be showin in the builtin Journal Browser.

Produce XML results
This option saves your results in XML format.

Produce HTML results
This option saves your results in HTML format.

Search...
Click this button to perform the search. If you selected Produce XML results or Produce HTML results you will be asked to select a directory to save your results to. A progress bar under the search button will inform you of how much progress has been made on the search. Searching a large journal may take some time, please be patient.
